10) Is there a message board or a place to post information to the group?
There is a message board at our Meetup.com site which can be reached at www.ExecTec.us/boards here you can contribute to on going discussions by other group members or start one of your own. Occasionally, the moderator will post follow-up information to the boards after the meeting. Edited by Joel Ordesky on Nov 22, 2004 10:18 PM |

11) Must I "Join" the group online?
If you plan to attend regularly and wish to receive invites then you must join. If you were forced to attend or otherwise blackmailed into showing up then feel free to participate and we hope you will then want to join our fine group. Edited by Joel Ordesky on Dec 22, 2004 8:58 PM |

12) Is my email address private?
Yes however a "Plus" member of Meetup.com can send you a message through the system without knowing your email address. You can block this via the sites preferences, which will limit you to only messages from the organizer. If you want people to be able to reach you, then you can elect to make your email public by including it in your profile. Edited by Joel Ordesky on Oct 25, 2004 9:54 PM |

13) How can I limit how much email I get?
It is up to you how much email you get. Each week you will get one invite to the next meeting. If you RSVP Yes, No or Maybe you will only get one reminder the day before the event. If you do not RSVP you may get additional reminders asking if you are coming. It is important that we get a good count by Monday at lunch so I can tell the restaurant how much food to make. Please take a moment each week and RSVP. The only other messages you will get will be from the organizer if there is a special need. |

17) What happened to TEN-G and the Technology Executive Networking Group name?
Despite best efforts when the group was first formed to clear the TEN-G name, a national group of IT managers use that name and have it registered as a service mark at the state level back east. Given that their group had an Los Angeles Chapter and had existed for sometime it was decided to change the name and avoid any confussion. Edited by Joel Ordesky on Nov 22, 2004 10:29 PM |
