Introduction

I'm a technology executive with 15 years of experience in the Media & Entertainment industry and a misspent youth in data services, insurance, medicine, and higher education. In my spare time, I write M&E industry dictionaries (somebody has to).

What are you looking for out of this group?

My most immediate interest is finding new employment. Beyond that, I would like to broaden and strengthen my professional network for the future.

What online networking tools (linkedIn, ZeroDegrees, etc) do you participate in? What is your criteria for granting connections?

I am most active on LinkedIn (I use it as my professional Rolodex). I only accept connection requests from people I’ve met (including those I know on-line) or who share a common LinkedIn group and professional interest. I also have Facebook and Twitter accounts, but I mostly use those to post term definitions (promoting the media & entertainment dictionaries that I've written), rather than as tools to establish personal connections.

How did you hear about the group?

Joel Ordesky and I were on the same panel discussion a couple years back. More recently, Jerome Ottenwaelter recommended I join.
