Introduction

I was a newspaper reporter for more than five years, now looking to transition into communications/public relations. I am currently looking for a position in either entertainment or media/technology. I'm looking to expand my professional network.

What online networking tools (linkedIn, ZeroDegrees, etc) do you participate in? What is your criteria for granting connections?

I use LinkedIn and Facebook most often, but I also have a Plaxo account. I usually grant connections to people I already know. Otherwise, if I don't know someone, it depends upon whether his or her industry interests me.

What are you looking for out of this group?

I would like to meet someone interesting people and expand my professional network.
