ExecTec - Hot Content on the Go

Summer is in full swing and up and down the virtual boardwalk you can hear the cries of the content vendors hawking their digitalis wares.

No matter the platform (iPhone, iPad, Kindle, Nook, Laptop, etc) or your distribution network of choice (Amazon, iTunes, Barns & Noble, Borders, Audible, Hulu, Netflix, etc) you can count on having limitless ways to enjoy both free and monetized content where ever your summer takes you.

Whether you feel Amazon has won the e-reader war or you are preaching the advantages of Hulu Plus http://bit.ly/at9zfX... or even Netflix over standard cable, you can be sure that your content needs can be fulfilled here there or anywhere.

Both monetized (costing you by month or item) and freemium content is plentiful assuring that you can pass countless hours relaxing and or procrastinating on your networking or both.

Now before you say so what and pass over this topic in favor of a Tuesday night at home curled up with your e-reader or i-whatever consider the following:

A) These devices and new platforms are driving increased revenue.
B) When news of Yankees owner George Steinbrenner’s death was revealed on Tuesday morning, it was too late for Sports Illustrated to change the cover photo of its print edition, featuring basketball star Lebron James and two of his new teammates. It was not, however, too late to alter the cover of the iPad edition of this week’s issue.
C) Barnes & Noble has teamed up with Blackboard, the Web site/software suite that is used in colleges all over the U.S.
D) That an iPad can access e-reader content for all the major outlets. Including Barns and Noble’s which allows users to loan or share their books.

All that not withstanding might books and TV be heading down the subscription model where for $9 to $20 per month you gain access to so many books or access to a library of long tail content?

How are you spending your content dollars today and has that changed from last year? Are even more outlets and ways to distribute content just around the corner?

So set aside your mac addressed device that is ratting out your every content choice (or just bring it with you) and come join us as we explore the new “E” would of “i” content.

As always, there is no better way to meet and connect with other executives then over dinner and conversation. $21 in advance via PayPal or $25 at the event gets you a full dinner, drink and the best networking around.
