ExecTec on the Lowest cost Alternative

The lowest cost alternative is something that everyone who negotiates for a living should be familiar with. This is the tipping point in every negotiation which can get or loose the deal. Simple put this is the lowest price the client can get the product or service for from someone else. More and more today people are driven to a price centric place when seeking services and products.

So how can one maximize how much they get for their products and services? Is there room in any market for a premium cost service?

Are prices declining or have we all just forgotten how to negotiate? Are we so focused on getting the deal that we have lost sight of the lowest cost alternative and we are to the point of negotiating against ourselves for clients.

Relationships may be everything but is your client or customer using the value you place on their relationship to out negotiate you?

Hard economic times are driving people to negotiate first and worry about win win scenarios later. In order to not be out negotiated it is critical that we take the time to engage the customer and to know what options they have. For most clients the alternative is just that an alternative which mean since they are talking to you most likely they really want to get the service from you. The question is not at what price can you close the deal but truly at what price can you close the deal without leaving money on the table, negotiating against yourself and loosing the job to the other guy.

Negotiating is something we all do whether it is for salary, price for services/products or who will do the dishes, the process is inherent in our lives but most people do not feel confident about the process and often resort to tactics that leave to much on the table.

Join us as we explore ways to avoid the lowest cost alternative and close the deal.

As always, there is no better way to meet and connect with other executives then over dinner and conversation. $21 in advance via PayPal or $25 at the event gets you a full dinner, drink and the best networking around.
