What makes really great content? What does it take to be compelling and gripping?
Television shows live and die by their ability to achieve this subtle goal.
They say that there are no original stories left. So is great content when someone finds that new and undiscovered angle? Or is it when the person creating the content puts so much more into the content that it exceeds all the rest.
Can technology in of itself make the content better? Does 3D make content better or does certain good content lend itself to that technology where as other good content would not?
Some would argue that context and the medium can make good content great. We all know that identical messages delivered in different ways can get totally different receptions and results.
So is there an answer or is great content a matter of simple luck? The right time, story, and outlet make that which might otherwise flop into an overnight sensation.
Why should you care what makes great content? Does it impact your job? Do you simply wait till you find it and then exploit it on your network, cable outlet or Youtube channel? Maybe great content is no different then the spark that creates the next innovation. Perhaps knowing how to create great content or great innovations is one of the keys to ultimate success.
Whether you create content for consumption or strive to make sure that your message to your client, boss or significant other is better then the other guy's message, join us as we explore the hows and whys of making great content and what it really is good for.
As always, there is no better way to meet and connect with other executives then over dinner and conversation. $21 in advance via PayPal or $25 at the event gets you a full dinner, drink and the best networking around.
